Scott Pilgrim vs The WorldI finally saw Scott Pilgrim vs. The World last night!

The movie itself was hilarious and I enjoyed every minute of it. I would also say that the stand out star of the movie wasn’t Michael Cera as Scott Pilgrim, but was Kieran Culkin as Wallace Wells who def made the movie for me.

The main complaint that I have is that the entire movie felt rushed, so rushed in fact that if I had not read the graphic novels, I’m not sure I could have kept up with the action.

I also felt like there wasn’t enough time for any kind of character development for some secondary characters such as, Stephen Stills, Kim Pine and even Ramona Flowers to an extent that made the book seem so rich.

Aside from those complaints, I disliked that what I felt was the main point of the book was left out. There’s a reason Scott is so confused and cannot remember his past relationships and the way the movie delt with this felt like a cop out

The movie itself is def worth catching, I actually plan on seeing it agian, but don’t expect the depth of the graphic novels, which i HIGHLY reccomend you read.

Scott Pilgrim's Finest Hour

Scott Pilgrim’s Finest Hour
Volume 6
Rating: Five Stars

Scott Pilgrim’s Finest Hour was everything I could have hoped for in the series finale. As in the other books, there is plenty of humor, emo and about a million other random things happening all at once. I will say though that of all of the volumes, this one feels to be the most concisely thought out and written. I don’t want to say too much more about the book and spoil it for you, but I def recommend picking it up on Wednesday at your local comic book shop it you haven’t already.

I almost had the ending ruined for me because of a security device placed near the spine in the middle of the book, but I managed to blot that glimpse of story out of my mind until I returned there in reading the book.

I personally cannot wait to see what Bryan Lee O’Malley will bring us in his next work!
